We run several competitions for children and adults through out the year. They are fun competitions where students can challenge themselves in a robust but safe format. The next competition is scheduled for Sunday 11th May. 8am.

In order to complete and include your registration, the entry needs to be paid for at the time of registration.
The registration must be in the name of the competitor and not the parent.
The rules are in accordance with the Japanese Budo Ju Jitsu Association in Japan. Standing-punching and kicking - touch contact, No head contact. Each bout is 1.5 minutes for children and 2 minutes for adults.
The judges make their decision based on being the fittest, scoring clean strikes without hurting opponent, ring savvy, poise and martial tradition. there will be a winner as there are no draws.
The judge’s decision is final and bad behaviour will not be tolerated. Angry and un-sportsman like behaviour will not be tolerated.
Pre registration and payment is required. Once you arrive on the day of the competition you may be marshalled into another group depending on your weight and height. You will be required to have a full sparring kit, including gloves (MMA gloves are okay as long as the fingers are completely covered. Boxing gloves are also okay), shin and instep protectors, groin cup for the boys, head gear for the 7-16 year olds is not compulsory, but we recommend it. Competitors will need to provide their own head gear. Mouth guard is compulsory.
The competition requires competitors to arrive at North Sydney at 8.15am for the children and 9.30am for the adults.
